My daughter is 9 years old and often complains that she can not fall asleep when it’s time for bed. She often calls out “Mommy, I can’t sleep with all the things going on in my head.” Currently I am attending college for Massage Therapy and one of my classes is about body mechanics and self-care, teaching us how to de-stress/relax. So the next night when my daughter told me she couldn’t sleep I taught her two of the new relaxation exercises I learned, and before I could even leave her room she was fast asleep. When she woke up the next morning she jumped out of bed and couldn’t wait to tell me how well it worked. LOL as if I didn’t notice her breathing heavy in a deep sleep. She now uses these techniques almost every night, even at her dads house. Thank you Mama Kindness!
