A young homeless girl was begging at a traffic light yesterday. She’s out on the street due to the death of her Mom and unable to keep up with various payments. She was in the process of getting some form of housing/shelter. Could only chat with her briefly as the light was about to change. Gave her some cash and wished her well. She thanked me and said “God bless you” — the light changed and I moved on.
I can only hope that this small act of kindness (passing a sequin to her) will give her hope and perhaps a step to a permanent residence.
