The Blanket

Early last week, my daughter was having a rough morning – as typical for toddlers. A little too tired, about time for her nap. Her blanket was nowhere in sight. Now, as a somewhat frustrated Dad looking for a nap himself, I didn’t really have the best attitude – but I remembered that it’s not always about me. After putting her in her bed, and she was needing a little extra attention…I took the time to travel all the way downstairs to get her the beloved blanket so she could rest and relax.

Doesn’t take much to give a little of ourselves – a simple thing, yes. But how these simple things can make quite the difference in a little girl’s life.
